AlaWeb Network Operations Center - Andalusia, Al. AlaWeb adds 800# access!
Each time you use this service, you will receive an email notification on the following day advising you of the previous day's 800# dial-up time as well as the cost you incurred from that day's use. There is also a website that will provide you with a more detailed report of your 800# usage. To obtain our 1-800 number for dialing AlaWeb nationwide, select this link, which will prompt you for your AlaWeb username and password. Use your regular AlaWeb dialup username, not your email address. In other words, do not append the @alaweb.com. You will then be asked to press a button, which will immediately send you the access number by email.
We urge you to create a separate dial-up icon to use when traveling so as to minimize any chance of continued use once you've returned home. AlaWeb will not be responsible for 800# usage charges incurred in error. Once home you will need to resume using your original dialer containing the local AlaWeb number (see example below). If you occasionally travel outside of AlaWeb's service territory, you may want to use our nationwide 800# dial-up service. Use this service to save money when traveling, when compared to typical long distance dial-up access to the Internet. It can also eliminate the need for a second dial-in account with a nationwide dial-up service like AOL, Compuserve, etc. This service is billed in 6 second increments at a usage rate of only $0.10 cents per minute and is conveniently charged to your monthly AlaWeb bill. This service is in addition to your regular dial-up plan with AlaWeb.
